Scholarship Programme at the Modern University of Nouakchott in Mauritania for doctoral studies

Under the agreement concluded between the Algerian Government and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, 40 scholarships have been allocated to Algerian students for the 2026–2027 academic year at doctoral level, in the following disciplines: 

– life sciences, chemistry, geology, mathematics, computer science, physics, law, economics, management sciences, geography , Arabic literature, history 

The scholarship is reserved for students enrolled in the second year of a Master’s degree and who are top of their year

The application pack must include: 

– A copy of the academic transcript 

– A copy of the Bachelor’s degree certificate (national schools are not eligible)

– A certificate of enrolment in the second year of a Master’s degree for the 2025–2026 academic year

– A certificate of class rank

– A doctoral thesis proposal

– A copy of the first page of the passport 

– A Master’s degree certificate, to be submitted after graduation.

Applications must be submitted at the faculty level.

Faculties are also required to forward the applications to the Vice-Rectorate for External
