Call for Applications – EGYAID Scholarships for International Studentsin Egypt (2025/2026)

The Ministry of Higher Education has received a call for applications for scholarships under the EGYAID program of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The Egyptian government is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the EGYAID scholarships, intended for international students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD) at Egyptian universities for the 2025/2026 academic year.

❖ Eligibility Criteria:

• Be a national of a non-Egyptian foreign country.
• Have completed the last required academic degree for the intended level of study (Bachelor’s for Master’s, Master’s for PhD).
• Not have previously benefited from a similar scholarship offered by the Egyptian government.
• Meet the academic admission requirements of Egyptian universities.
• Have a good academic standing (minimum “Good”/”Bien” grade for Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Age must not exceed:
  ○ 22 years for undergraduate studies.
  ○ 30 years for master’s studies.
  ○ 35 years for PhD studies.
  
  ❖ Required Documents:
  ● Duly completed application form (available from the relevant department or downloadable from the Ministry’s website).
  ● Motivation letter.
  ● Certified copies of obtained degrees and transcripts.
  ● Certificate of good conduct.
  ● Recent medical certificate.
  ● Copy of valid passport.

● Two letters of recommendation.
● Letter of acceptance or pre-admission from an Egyptian university (if available).

Application Deadline: 15 September 2025

❖ Important Notes:

● Application processing fees are non-refundable.
● The scholarship covers only tuition and registration fees. Living expenses (accommodation, transport, insurance, etc.) are the responsibility of the student.
● The student must comply with the rules and regulations in effect at Egyptian universities.
● Any violation may result in the suspension of the scholarship.

For students applying for the Arabic Language Center scholarship:

● The student must be capable of passing the placement test.
● Eligible age: 15 to 27 years old.
● Placement test may be conducted online or in person at the center.

Selection Criteria for the Scholarship:
● Preference is given to candidates with the highest academic grades and rankings.
● Documents must be accurately uploaded through the EGYAID application platform: https://admission.study-in-egypt.gov.eg
● Priority is given to those who have not received a similar scholarship before.
● Compliance with academic and visa requirements is essential.

● Geographic distribution of applicants may be considered during the selection process.

Additional Notes for Selected Students (Scholarship Subject to Faculty Council Approval):

● The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the selected program/faculty.
● It becomes effective after passing the preparatory year.
● In case of failure, the scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees only.
● Students are responsible for any additional costs not related to tuition.
● Students are not allowed to work or switch academic programs without official approval.
● The scholarship does not cover travel expenses or health insurance.
