American Scholarship Program Norman ’Norman E. Borlaug Fellowship 2020’
The Embassy of the United States of America announces the launch, by the United States Department of Agriculture, of the program “Norman E. Borlaug Fellowship 2020” intended for Algeria for the year 2020.
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote agricultural productivity, food security and economic growth through collaborative research.
This program provides training in agricultural research, leadership, and agricultural policy for university teachers, researchers and government officials.
This year the program focuses on three themes:
1- Animal health focused on risk assessment and prevention of transboundary animal diseases.
2- Biotechnology focused on new technologies, in particular CRISP (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) technology to advance food security and improve business strategies.
3- Plant health (integrated management against parasites, strategies for the fall armyworm).
