COFFEE PROJECT

 

COFFEE is a national structural project, funded by the Erasmus+ Capacity Building programme, for a period of 3 years from October 2015. It is led by the University of Montpellier.

 

Objective of the COFFEE project

The objective of the COFFEE project is to provide Algerian universities with the methodology to create professional training offers that correspond to the reality of labour market and provid them with middle managers directly employable, in response to the phenomenon of unemployment among young graduates. Co-Construction is ensured by joint work between academics and professionals.

COFFEE at Abdelhamid Ibn Badis University – Mostaganem

Abdelhamid Ibn Badis  university – Mostaganem (UMAB) has been actively involved in the COFFEE project since its approval in 2015. It has participated in all the workshops and seminars organised for its realisation, which has resulted in the creation of two professional licences. The first in 2017 entitled “Industrial Maintenance” created by Mrs. GHOMRI Leila at the Electrical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Followed by a second license entitled “Cereal Transformation Technology” created in 2018 by Mr. MEDJAHED Mostefa, at the Biology Department of the Faculty of Nature and Life Sciences.

New professional training offers 2019-2020 offered at UMAB

As part of the coffee project, which ended in March 2019, UMAB offered three professional training offers in co-construction with various socio-economic actors. These are the following licenses:

  • Professional license “Natural Substances and Cosmetics Industry”.
  • Professional license “consluting and Technical Assistance in Plant Production”.
  • Professional license “Aquaculture and Fishfarming”.
