Medical Simulation Center Presentation

The Medical Simulation Center of Abdelhamid Ibn Badis University (UMAB) is an innovative structure for education and research, offering learning and training opportunities for medical students. Its operation contributes to improving the quality of professional practices.

Active teaching methods integrating medical simulation ensure the development of practical skills for future healthcare practitioners, under the supervision of faculty researchers from the Faculty of Medicine.

The simulation center of the Faculty of Medicine includes five (05) high-fidelity simulation spaces, fully modular and adaptable to the educational objectives of scenarios, equipped with high-fidelity medical simulators that allow learners to be placed in realistic situations and participate in debriefing sessions. It also includes three (03) spaces with stations dedicated to low-fidelity procedural simulation. Additionally, a dedicated space is allocated for digital simulation, research, and the development of software and applications, such as a lung auscultation learning and assessment software whose use has been validated by a study.
