El Kheir Zemouri, from EnQuest, Malaysia on \u00ab\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>North Africa Oil &Gaz Integrated Solutions:\u00a0 Holistic approach\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n Abstract:<\/strong> Currently we are dealing with mature field been producing for 30 or 40 years through natural drive mechanism of pressure depletion, or secondary recovery mechanism which consist of pressure maintenance with gas or water injection or both. But ,in either cases recovery hardly goes above 30%. So EOR or tertiary recovery mechanism can take recovery as high as 75%. But this requires very sophisticated technology to apply feasibility study up front \u00a0which consist of for example injecting CO2, steam, surfactant etc… all old field or marginal field require this before they proceed to abandonment.
