Professor Lamia Hamrouni (female) is a researcher in biotechnology at the INRGREF since 2005 and member of the Laboratory of management and valorization of forest resources. She had her doctoral degree in biological sciences (plant biotechnology) in 2009 from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis. Mrs. Hamrouni activities carried out since 1999 and up to date composed of intensive research works concerning the plants biotechnology regarding forest resources. Other scientific activities carried out by Mrs. Hamrouni have concerned the molecular analysis of the genetic diversity of Mediterranean species. Her knowledge on plant physiology and biotechnology allows her to well define the specific activities including culture in vitro micropropagation of forest species, medicinal and aromatic, the study of their adaptation to abiotic stresses (salinity and drought) in their improvement as well. She has enough experiences in bio-active substances from plant extracts and essential oils extracted from different forest species. She has published more than 40 scientific papers with impact factor.
